Professional Appearance on the Way to the Top
Junior Athletes of the hep Sports Team equipped by Orca
Joint goal: Sustainability in Sports: Starting now, the junior athletes of the hep Sports Team will be equipped by the New Zealand outfitter Orca. hep, a German-based company for solar parks and solar investments, maintains a team of five professional and six junior athletes. For the first time, the juniors will compete in homogeneous jerseys by a sustainbale outfitter.
Professional Appearance on the Way to the Top: Solar specialist hep and the New Zealand outfitter Orca jointly announce a cooperation with the help of which six young athletes of the hep Sports Team will be provided with the best training, swimming and competition clothing.
The aim is to create a sense of community, increase the quality of the equipment and make the leap to the world elite. Professional athletes and team members Imogen Simmonds, Maurice Clavel and Sebastian Kienle have been relying on Orca products for years.
The uniform appearance increases the recognition value for the team and proves to be a good display area for sponsors and outfitters.
Sustainability as a Common Goal: “Orca has been an absolute premium brand for years with great know-how and top performance. Our athletes are very grateful and proud to represent the brand – knowing that they have the best material,“ says Ronnie Schildknecht, manager of the hep Sports Teams.
“There is no green without blue.“, is the motto summarizing Orca’s efforts against the destruction of our oceans through plastic waste. In 2020, the manufacturer began removing plastics from its packaging and aspires to do without plastic packaging entirely by 2021. As an outdoor outfitter, Orca feels it has a direct responsibility towards nature and wants to minimize its impact on the environment. This philosophy perfectly complements hep’s slogan “there is no planet b.“
The partnership between hep and Orca sets a clear example in triathlon that top performance can be combined with the highest standards of sustainability.
hep Sports Team: hep follows a holistic approach in building and leading its sports team which currently consists of five professional and six junior athletes: Beside financial support, hep focuses on mentoring personal growth and athletic achievements. “Triathlon is a matter of the heart to us,” explains CEO and founder Christian Hamann. “We appreciate the endurance, versatility and success of our athletes, and want to support the sport in Germany and on an international level.”
