Daniel Sheil joins hep solar as Global Head of M&A and Transactions

Güglingen, 5 August, 2025 – hep solar, the internationally active solar specialist, is strengthening its mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and transaction activities with a key strategic appointment. As of August 1, 2025, Daniel Bier Sheil has taken on the role of Global Head of M&A and Transactions. In his new role, Sheil will be responsible for the sale and purchase of projects as well as mergers and acquisitions. 

Sheil brings extensive international experience in the energy transition sector, having held leadership roles in the US, Germany, and the UK. Most recently, he worked for a German-based smart grid software firm as Chief Financial Officer, where he led capital raising, M&A, and commercial transactions. Prior to that, Sheil held the roles of CFO and Head of Investments at a private equity-backed carbon investment platform in New York. Additionally, he was an M&A banker in Lazard’s Power, Energy & Infrastructure team in New York, advising clients across the energy transition landscape on complex M&A, financing, and restructuring matters. He also served as the lead author of the industry benchmark Levelized Cost of Energy report.

With his deep expertise in corporate and project finance, Sheil will play a pivotal role in shaping hep solar’s strategic development. He will support the company in navigating evolving markets across its global portfolio, positioning hep solar for further long-term growth.
